Terrace Hill Graz (A)
In an idyllic landscape on the outskirts of Graz, stand the four villas overlooking the city. The surrounding nature, the special length on a relatively steep slope, but also the proximity to the city were the starting point of inspiration for this home.
The houses unfold following the slope on several levels. The upper entrance level extends from the driveway, over a carport into the spacious and open living area with a wide terrace in front.
From this terrace you have a magnificent view over the city.
A staircase at the entrance area leads to the lower level with the retreat and bedrooms of the residents. This lower level is directly connected to the garden via another terrace. Further levels and stairs then lead to the pool and the garden pavilion. Three of the houses are designed as single villas, the fourth is a semi-detached house, each with its own garden.
Construction
The construction method is solid, and the green roofs are also solid. The resulting large storage masses, together with the large canopies and the efficient, intelligently controlled sun protection, offers a very pleasant indoor climate, especially in summer, without the need for artificial air conditioning or similar measures. Energy-efficient, resource-saving and sustainable construction methods are of particular importance in this project.
